Skill Builder Day
Prerequisite:
Whitewater canoe class or equivalent.
What You Learn
Over the years many paddlers in the club have asked if we could develop a single day course that would focus on specific skills or needs. If you and your friends let us know what you would like to take ahead of time, we will do our best to develop a class to meet your needs. Currently we are proposing the following classes: 1. Advanced Surfing, 2. Bracing and Effective Rolling, 3. Advanced Turning Techniques/Maneuvers and 4. Introduction to Beginning Whitewater
Equipment
- Students are expected to have all the essentials. This includes canoe, personal floatation device (PFD), paddle, and appropriate clothing. See the Student Information Sheet for more details, including places to rent canoes.
